Wokingam Borough Interfaith Group
The interfaith group has been running since April 2007 and our meetings average between 30 – 50 people representing a wide range of faiths: Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, Jewish, Mormon, Ba’Hai
We also have strong links with:
- Borough Council representatives for community development and social inclusion,
- Local Strategic partnership (LSP),
- Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education (SACRE)
- Fire Service
- Wokingham Borough Voluntary Action (VAWB)
We are currently identifying terms of reference for the group.
We aim to run 3 social events each year where we can build bridges of friendship and learn more about each other’s faith and culture. We also hold an annual conference to celebrate progress and look at the way forward for the interfaith group.
