HISTORY OF JAC
Since 1998, JAC has been doing it's worthwhile work.
Here is a list of memorable events in the life of JAC over the last 11 years

1998:
JAC charity formed on 21st January 1998;
JAC's first vehicle, the red van, is purchased
|

1999 - 2000:
JAC gets established in the local community;
Large trailer purchased for the detached work
|
|
|
2001:
Schools work begins;
JAC is called in to Bulmershe school to act as mediator as tension develops between different ethnic groups following the 9/11 attacks
|
|
|
2002:
JACPot donation scheme introduced;
First office administrator appointed;
Shogun purchased
|
|
|
2003:
Nu Music Project (Music Mentoring) begins - the project lasts 2 years
|
|
|
2004:
The purpose built vehicle the "Camel" purchased;
JAC sponsors a local U14 football team
|
|
|
2005:
Emotional Literacy groups begin in Waingels and Bulmershe;
we finally say goodbye to the red van!
|
|
|
2006:
IT upgrade after a successful funding bid - this is badly needed;
First JAC Idol talent conest
|
|
|
2007:
A second purpose built vehicle arrives (the "baby Camel"),
Just in the Park Cafe opens; JAC nominated for the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service

2008:
JAC confirmed as a winner of the Queen's Award
