Parenting Courses
We run regular courses aimed at supporting parents at different stages in their child's development. Courses are usually held at Woodley Baptist Church Centre, Hurricane Way, Woodley and cost £15 per person or £20 per couple. Materials used are produced by internationally recognised organisation Family Caring Trust.
Pre-School Children
‘Pram to Primary School’ - This programme of 7 weekly 2 hour sessions is aimed at parents with children aged around 2 years. This looks in more detail at ‘managing behaviour’; ‘talking and listening to your child’; ‘encouragement’ and ‘quality time’ as well as other more general principles related to effective parenting.
Primary & Secondary Aged Children
We also run courses for parents with older children which cover issues such as ‘Behaviour you don’t like’, ‘Encouragement’, ‘Listening’, ‘Discipline’, and ‘Talking Problems through’. These courses are as follows:-
